We inspect the vehicle’s paint condition, finish, previous repairs, existing protection and areas of concern. This allows us to recommend a correction and coating combination based on the vehicle rather than selling every customer the same package.
Loose dirt, traffic film and bonded contamination are removed through a careful wash and decontamination process. Clay treatment is used where necessary so that embedded contamination does not interfere with correction or coating adhesion.
The paint is corrected to remove as many safe and reasonable defects as possible. The appropriate process may range from a lighter two-stage polish on a new or lightly used vehicle to a three-stage correction or more advanced restoration on a worn finish.
After polishing, the vehicle is carefully cleaned to remove compound residue, polishing oils and remaining contamination. The surface is inspected under direct lighting before coating begins.
The selected coating is applied indoors, panel by panel. Each section is levelled and inspected to prevent high spots, streaking or uneven curing.
The vehicle remains inside for the initial drying period required by the selected coating. We continue inspecting the finish and correct any installation issue before delivery.
At delivery, we explain initial curing precautions, safe washing practices and the maintenance requirements associated with the selected coating and warranty.
Most paint-correction and ceramic-coating projects include a complimentary follow-up wash and inspection approximately two weeks after delivery. This gives us an opportunity to inspect coating behaviour, confirm the finish and address any concern early.
The final coating can only look as good as the surface beneath it. Toronto Buffing specializes in paint correction, defect removal, advanced polishing and automotive paint restoration—not simply high-volume detailing.

New paint does not always mean defect-free paint. New vehicles may arrive with transportation contamination, dealership wash marks, water spots, adhesive residue, sanding marks or polishing holograms.
Before coating a new vehicle, we inspect it under direct lighting and perform only the correction needed. Correcting these issues before delivery of the coating prevents them from being sealed beneath a long-term protective layer.
New-car owners may also benefit from combining ceramic coating with front-end PPF. The film provides impact resistance on high-risk panels, while the coating improves gloss and makes the remaining surfaces easier to maintain.
Ceramic coating and paint protection film solve different problems.
Many owners choose a full-front PPF package with ceramic coating on the remainder of the vehicle. This combines impact protection on the bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors with easier maintenance and enhanced gloss across the vehicle.

Toronto Buffing’s currently published coating prices begin at $899.99 and reach $3,499 for the premium Ceramic Pro ION package. Paint correction is required and priced separately. The final cost depends on the vehicle’s size, paint condition, correction requirements and selected coating.
The amount of correction needed varies significantly. A lightly used vehicle with minor wash marks requires less labour than a large, dark-coloured vehicle with deep scratches, oxidation or previous polishing damage. Inspecting the paint first allows us to quote the work accurately and recommend the safest correction process.
Often, yes. New vehicles can have dealership wash marks, water spots, transportation contamination, adhesive residue and factory sanding marks. We inspect the paint and perform only the correction necessary before applying the coating.
Longevity depends on the coating package, installation, vehicle usage, storage, washing methods and maintenance. Toronto Buffing currently offers coating packages ranging from approximately two years to lifetime-warranty Ceramic Pro options, subject to the package’s written terms.
Turnaround depends mainly on the level of paint correction and the coating selected. A lightly marked vehicle may require substantially less time than a heavily defective or previously coated vehicle. We provide an expected completion date after inspecting the vehicle.
No coating makes automotive paint scratch-proof, and ceramic coating is not designed to stop rock chips. It may improve resistance to light wash-induced marring and environmental wear, but paint protection film is the appropriate product for physical-impact protection.
Yes. Surface-specific products can be applied to wheel faces, calipers, glass, exhaust tips and other suitable exterior surfaces. Coverage depends on the package selected.
Yes. A coating formulated for PPF can improve hydrophobicity, ease of cleaning and resistance to environmental contamination without replacing the impact protection supplied by the film.
Yes. The application is completed indoors under controlled conditions. The vehicle must remain protected during the initial drying period, and the customer must follow the supplied curing and aftercare instructions.
Use a safe hand wash, clean wash media, suitable automotive shampoo and clean microfiber drying towels. Avoid abrasive tunnel washes and harsh chemicals that can reduce coating performance.
